I hope everyone in the States had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I certainly did. Gathered with some of my kids for a scrumptious dinner hosted by my oldest son, David, and his wife Rebecca, (Wei). She is a new American citizen and so excited to host the traditional holiday. We had the usual turkey and dressing and pumpkin pie, and it was so much fun to work with her and two of my sons in all the preparations. This is one of my favorite meals to cook, so I was glad they let me help.
We skipped the Black Friday madness and went to see The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part II. It was a nice wrap-up to the story but did not have the same edge-of-your-seat tension of the first two movies had. Still, it was an enjoyable movie and folks who have invested themselves emotionally in the story will enjoy how it ends.
For Cyber Monday, Untreed Reads is having a huge sale – 40% off most titles, including my holiday story, The Last Dollar.
To see a list of all my books and short stories that are available, here is a link.
And while you are at the Untreed Reads store, you can check out lots of other books by some terrific writers. There is something for everyone, from fantasy and science fiction, to romance and women’s fiction, and much, much more.
I am still having neck problems that limits my computer time, so this is all for today, folks. Hope you have a terrific week, and please do share anything special from your Thanksgiving in the comments.
Maryann, I sympathize with your neck problems. I’m having the same troubles and it really does interfere with computer time.
I also skipped the Black Friday shopping craziness and spent the day reading a good book. Shopping just isn’t my thing, even on a quiet day.
Patricia, sorry to see that you are having neck pain, too. That is so limiting.
I am not fond of shopping, either, although I do love to shop for others at Christmas. There is something so neat about finding that one special thing for someone. But I shop year-round for gifts and save some for Christmas presents, when I can resist the urge to just give the present when I get it.
Did you have a good Thanksgiving.
